I consider myself to a patriotic American and I don't like to see the National Anthem butchered, however, I can appreciate an artist putting their personal feeling into their performance (except Rosanne Barr).

Most people that try to make the National anthem "their own" fail miserably. Whether it is some urban yodeler or a geetar player, they should not try to turn our national anthem into some bathroom audition for Motown. Play it like it is written and let that be your honor ....
