OK, guys and gals, here's the deal:

On April 1, I took my son on a Cub Scout camping trip at Lake Livingston State Park, off of highway 3126.

My part of this activity was to have a "treasure hunt" for the boys using my Garrett Ace 250, in which I buried ~30 old coins of various variety: Indian cents pre and early 1900s, Barber and Mercury dimes, Buffalo nickels and Lincoln wheats peppered throughout all years.

You can just imagine the fun we had. I think I made collectors out of a few of them.

Only thing is, they didn't find 'em all....there's still more than half still there.

So X marks the spot on the northwest corner of campsite #5. Go to any map of the park on-line and you will see how to get there.

So if you want to hone your skills, shoot fish in a barrel, or combine both and camp out a night or two, head on up there and see what I left there.

Happy hunting!

You can't metal detect in Texas State Park areas, it is against the law.
