You decide on just a short walk around a local field.

You get a nickel/tab hit and you dig anyway.

You see this:

That's enough to make anyone breathe a victory sigh and think about calling it a day.
But then, you clear some more and turn it around and this happens!

2015 (355).jpg

At this point, one doesn't care if it's real or not!
WOW!

2015 (354).jpg

Makes all seem worthwhile again. :)

The AT played another joke on me today too:

I saw that first frame and thought, well, you know.... LOL

Thanks for peeking folks!

NICE BLING !!!! You need to hand out sunglasses or at lest warn us!
Well the facets look small that's good and the band is shinny, that's good too....but..I..can't.quite..see the markings in the band!

Going by the stand off between those two, I think it's real!

I would expect that type of humor from my M6, but from your AT?

Congrats on some fine looking bling! And other finds!

One of my almost heart stoppers was complements of "Avon".

Oh my! My AT has been playing tricks on me ever since I started with it! LOL

The key thing? I happened to be talking to the Lord about how much I appreciate the way he leads me over stuff.
I look back at this huge grassy area and say I could have walked ANYWHERE and He put me over that one spot!
Even, how, sometimes He keeps me on the proper path. I get ready to change direction and go off on another tangent.
I actually said, out loud, "I start to change and I swing then BATTA BING!!" And, no lie, as soon as I said "Bing", so did my
AT! I looked up and said, yeah, like that!! LOLOL

After I realized it was a huge key, I looked up again and said, "Good one, Lord!" LOL

I can relate with your "lead by the Lord" comments, Whadi. If one is truly observing and asking for Divine intervention, one will see the signs and feel the suggestions. And, for whatever reason, I too dig keys where the jewelry also lies buried. I dig many keys, in fact, usually one each time I go out. Keys "ring" up in the same range as rings, so digging keys is the key to digging rings, or something like that...you may quote me on this one...Sub :icon_scratch:

Now that I look at the photo of the key again, I see it is "supersized.' Based on the style and cut, I would say automotive, maybe to some big 1950's land-yacht with fins! (I could not read the writing on it.) Sub 8-)

Nice finds and a nice ring. I like also when a pop tab is sticking out on edge.

Yep His timing is spot on! In those first 3 seconds it's all real.

I still remember being a tad stubborn about checking out a piece of surface trash that a ring was next to. If I had not checked it out I'm pretty sure the next motivator probably would have been a bolt of lighting. :laughing7:

Some of those older cars had 2 keys, ignition, and trunk, trunk keys were round.
