Maybe I've been around Photoshop too long, but that picture looks very "layered". Not figuratively with software, but literally, physically layered. There is no evidence of a hole, and it looks like a single shovelful of dirt was put on top of existing soil and plants, then gold bars were put on top of the new dirt. Now, being charitable one could say that the loose dirt we see is what came out of the hole, which sits a couple of feet outside the frame and the gold bars were placed on that pile as they were removed from the hole. But that still isn't very much dirt in that pile.

How can you say that when the entire field is booming right now? Treasure hunting now is probably bigger and trendier than it has ever been. There is an entire industry dedicated to making the equipment used for treasure hunting. There are numerous television programs about it. There are almost daily articles about some cache or shipwreck being found. So I guess I have to ask, how do you define the phrase "believe in treasure hunting"?

It looks like it could be real but I guess we'll never know. Anything out of the Philippines is highly suspect by default, sadly. If you were successful in the PH then my hats off to you. God knows I tried when I lived there.
