Although I have been a member of this forum for a long time, I have never posted a find. I have been detecting for 40 years but this is my first civil war find other than the occasional minie ball. I was hunting a field where an old one school house stood and this flipped out of a plug. North central Ohio not being a hotbed of civil war relics, I would appreciate some advice on what I have and if it has any value. At some point it must have been hit by a plow because it has a bend in it. It is roughly 2 x 2 7/8 x 3/16 thick. Sorry about the long post and I hope these pictures work.

E-trac and F75LTD2. Use Sunray probes on both detectors. Have over 10 coils. Love NEL coils the best.

Great find. I live up north and will have a hard time finding some CSA stuff. It is on my bucket list. You had to go crazy when U dug that up.
