I found this lovely rock in my garden. It has interesting markings on it. Is someone familiar with the writings/markings. It is approximately 3 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches. This is my very first post. Thanks.

Cool rock! Sorry, I can't read it. I'm not a rock hound, but my GUESS is that it's natural. It's really nice.

That rock carries the curse of the Cali-Ma!!! Beware! You should bury it before the ancient ones come for you :icon_farao:

Looks like it took a long time to put all the scratches on. Looks cool. I would keep it. Sorry I have no info on it.

Welcome to the party. I like your rock, but can't help you with it. I would have kept it too. Good Luck and Happy Hunting

I can't help you with the ID but I definitely like it.
Try putting a thread in the "what is it" forum.

Shame on you, that was someone's pet rock that died, and look what you did, you dug it up!

Looks like something a dung beetle might have made. Petrified poop.

Welcome to T net. Neat stone, I think it may be granite with mica inclusions and then polished? Native Americans would use this for celts, axes, and hammerstones. I have a really nice axe from similar material. HH
