YAYAYAYAAAAA GOLD & Diamonds!

After only a couple hours hunting in the town I just moved to, I have had some really great finds. I have found a bunch of clad, no old coins yet, two gold rings (one plated), a watch, an old pocket knife, and a bowling trophy guy who looks like he got in a fight!

Quick question before you look @ the pics. One of the gold rings I found has a couple markings on the inside. The first is 14k (14 karat gold obviously) and the other marking .38VA has me stumped. It has what appears to be a large diamond setting along with 6 smaller diamonds on the outsides (3 on each side). Could the .38VA be a marking for the stones? The jeweler in town is closed today, so I am hoping someone here can shed some light on this .38VA marking.

Oh I also included a pic of my box with everything found so far after 2 weeks of hunting (i did spend about 12$ of the quarter clad).

love the blue diamond in the huge ring! If it is a diamond that is. Also i really love the Gold in the ring! Great addition to your ring collection!

Thanks guys...im still so excited about this ring. Not bad for a 2 week rookie with the ace250 huh?

Everyone I've talked to today says its a real diamond, probably close to 2 karats and that its a vintage design. I found it about 7 inches down in a park that has been around since the mid 1800's. It was my first dig of the day. I hopped in the car and headed straight home after I pulled it out, figured I wasnt gonna find anything better. I have only hunted 10% of this park. I can only imagine what else is in there.

Thanks jack. I am thinking of upgrading machines with the money I get for the ring. I figure that way, if I have a more expensive machine, my next "big" find will have to be worth that much more.

Im getting the ring appraised later today. Im keepin my fingers crossed until then. Will update the post accordingly.
