1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard Tookah! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country). You might also consider adding your state (or country) to your displayed profile (SETTINGS -> EDIT PROFILE) - members may have more success helping you (your location may help, etc.)...

Can't help you without more knowledge of the rock. Where was it found? Was this the only piece or is there more? Stone appears to be quartz of various colors. Yellow quartz is an indication of gold in quartz. The rose colors indicate gold as well (rose quartz).

Picture is really out of focus, along the edges that I can see clearly it looks to be a compact mass of quartz crystals, clear going to smoky quartz with some nice citrine colors.
