yea...poor camera operation...but if you double click...you should see three birds...a mated pair is training the young to hunt..

the birds have been present for the past few days...the two young birds haven't the color yet, the adults clearly are bald eagles.

wagon tracks are pretty neat. We're having drought conditions up here so I think our country is going to start looking like yours pretty soon.

Those tracks are cool, I think I see 4 birds but can't tell if all are eagles.
Great pix,

I've got a bank receipt that was made out by the founder of the United Verde Copper Mine, W A Clark...Clarksdale was a town he laid out and designed to be a modern mining town with indoor plumbing and electricity for the worker of the United Verde Co. back in the first part of the 20th century I think it was?, but you most likely knew that, as I think most of us enjoy the history of our own surroundings.

pip, I don't know whether to send you a Dutch oven or a zoom lens. :)
that's funny ;) hang in there pippin, the size of those eagles look about the size of the gold specks some folks are so excided to post picture of on TN. I can see the eagles and I'm sure it was an awesome sight for you to see that day and that blue sky is wonderful.

the birds were hatched about five miles from here...along the verde, there is a closed nesting site...
they have only come out hunting in this direction a couple of weeks
I had a better view of them last week...but no camera...and the dang birds seem to recognize me and stayed just out of range ....

critters have a great sense of humor.

Hey pipp!! Neat pictures!! I have a pair of eagles nesting around my home and they are Gorgeous flying in the early morning sky!! By the way the smoke stack is really neat and I have one about 150 yars from my house on an old Sugar Plantation!! Google up Catherine Plantation in Louisiana and compare with yours!! Beats me how they built it in the 1800's!! Hope you are well and GOOD HUNTING!! VERDE!!
