Yesterday's 12 String boxes of halves

So last week when picking up my usual 2 boxes from one bank, they asked me what I wanted for the next week. Jokingly, I said "how about 8 boxes." I didn't think they'd take me seriously, as the teller laughed. I got the call yesterday saying my 8 boxes of half dollars were in and I needed to pick them up to clear room in the vault. Of course, I got calls from 2 other banks letting me know that I had 2 boxes at each of those branches. Here is the breakdown of how the boxes played out....
From bank 1 (8 boxes)
Box 1: 1 40 %
Box 2: Skunk
Box 3: 1 gold plated Franklin, 2x 40% Kennedy's
Box 4: 2x 40% Kennedy's
Box 5: Skunk
Box 6: 1 gold plated 2008 Obama half (I'll release that one back into the wild)
Box 7: 1 40% Kennedy
Box 8: 3x Franklin, 1 64' Kennedy, 12x 40% Kennedy's

Bank 2 (same bank as bank one, just different branch)
Box 9: Skunk
Box 10: 1 40% Kennedy

Bank 3
Box 11: Skunk
Box 12: Skunk

Grand total: 24 Silvers, 19x 40% Kennedy's, 4 Franklins & 1 '64 Kennedy!

I also got a '43-P War nickel in change with my morning coffee.

"...1 gold plated 2008 Obama half (I'll release that one back into the wild)..." That was great...I would have done exactly the same! Pretty good finds I have to say. Similar to your results...about 1/2 of my boxes seem to be skunks lately.

Those 8 boxes the bank ordered for you could become a regular thing, if so, that's great!!! I have no issue ordering halves in my area, I could order as many as I want as long as I purchase all the coins I order and do not return them(no fee for ordering coin)

Though I could do 8 boxes if I wanted to, I stick with 2 boxes per time, but tomorrow I am supposed to pick up 3(2 boxes is hard enough to dump in my area let alone 8!!)

Sometimes I wonder what the carrier thinks when he sees all the coinage he has to carry back to his truck. They pretty become furnature movers now. LOL
