Took yesterday off since the weather was going to be somewhat decent enough for me to hit my trails. I wanted to concentrate on the upper section where there is a huge depression that could be the remains of a structure. There is a well or privy a few feet away from this depression so I wanted to investigate it further. Unfortunately nothing came from this site as of yet. Might need to really work this area and clear it out just to see what is is that I have there. There are a bunch of stones filling in this depression so maybe there is stuff underneath them.

Went back down to the lower section where the majority of relics and items have been found and came up with 3 buttons, one flat, one two piece that has a spiral design on it and the other seems more modern but I cannot determine what company made it. It has "FIT and WEAR" stamped on it. Looks more like a snap to me than a button. BTW, the flat button was laying on top of the ground. Gotta love those ATVs for helping me dig!

Also came across a couple of what is it's. The clip/buckle looking thing, and the cone shaped item. Both rang up in the nickel/pulltab range which is what I usually find the buttons in. Also the copper or brass tube thing. It has a ball attachement and the tube seems to be hollow. Possibly old gaslight tubing??

Also found what appears to be part of a harmonica. The reed seems to be different than the other ones that I have found. This one seems to be made of tin, or this is a different section of a harmonica. It even has a sqaure of the wood still attached.

Well my back was bothering me before I detected yesterday and now it is really screaming at me. Luckily it is raining or bad back or no bad back I would have probably been back up there.

Let me know if anyone of you have come acroos some of these items before and can help my ID them.

Thanks for looking and HH.

Nice finds

I found a harmonica like that the other day. wasn't sure what it was at first, just seemed like 5 or 6 layers of metal stacked together.
I'll try a get a pic posted later for comparison.

Nice early relics.

I see a harmonica reed. I see a suspender buckle. I also see some late 1700 early 1800 coin type flat buttons. I bet there is a large cent there down deep some where.
