You don't find one of these too often.....
Yesterday I was out driving with the family scouting for river access to go creek / river hunting at a future time. I'd already found one very good access point that I'll use as soon as the high water recedes. As we were looking for a 2nd access point we found ourselves driving in a heavily wooded area. I looked off to the side of road, maybe 75 yards and see a half naked guy frantically waving his arms. There's no shoulder on wither side of the steep and winding road. I stop the car (note: I have my wife and 2 kids with me), get out and tell the wife to drive off and come back in 10 minutes. The guy is wearing only his boxer shorts (no shoes, socks, nothing) and is crying. I get out to him and he starts asking me where he is and tells me he's been wandering the woods for a day and a half is completely lost. Based on his story and appearance I judge the guy is unarmed and harmless (I'm 6'3" 265 lbs) at this point and is genuinely lost in the woods. I let him us my phone and call his grandmother who is clearly chewing him out over the phone. I tell him I'll drive him back to his house. Wife returns w/ the car and we proceed to drive out of the woods. On the way out we're about to pass a ranger station when I see ~15 or so state police, park ranger, etc, vehicles leaving the parking lot. I motion for the lead car to stop and ask the officer - "are you guys looking for a missing person?" He said "yes" I replied with "well I just found a missing person" and leaned back so he could see the guy in the passenger seat.
According to the officer the guy had been missing for 3 and a half days. I never asked for a story but the naked in the woods and aryan nation tattoo's make it pretty clear - I found an authentic field grade Missouri crystal meth tweaker. No I didn't get an in-situ and no I'm not getting him 'restored', I'll leave that to the state.
You just don't find one of those every day.....
