You know the feel of your digger scraping across a silver coin?

Feeling it slip as you are trying to pry under the target and feeling in your hand as the tip of the steel digger gouges the soft silver. Aw, crap. It's not a squished screwcap. At least it wasn't something more valuable than a nice 43S Walking Liberty half. :-\

A little bit of everything today. 1971 Ike dollar, 1968D silver half, the aformentioned Walking Liberty, a 44 Mercury dime, tokens, a button, a junk jewelry class ring charm, 5-6 video game tokens, a 1970 Canadian penny and a modern bullet.

The WL half and the dime came out of a high school that should have been hunted out ages ago. ;) The dime was so deep that it was iron/coin bounce on the CZ3D.

Nice coins! That's not too bad of a scratch, I expected to see worse.

I tried "softening out" a scatch on the first Franklin half I found..let me tell you an SOS soap pad isn't a good idea..I nearly obliterated the "TY"in the word LIBERTY.

I made up for it by finding another one 2 months later. I left it alone. Live and learn.

Those are some nice looking finds you've got there, they would have made my day.
I'd like to find an Ike myself.
Congratulations,

Great silver finds.A place you can find 2 silver halfs and a dollar coin is FAR from hunted out.If those large coins were missed, just think how many silver dimes and Quarters are lurking there.

Nice finds at1cad... Looks like that Fisher detector with its deep seeking capability will come in very useful... I have one of those killer machines as well...
