King Searchers please don't screw it up for everyone else & yourself!!
I went to dump a box of dimes today at a bank out here.. the girl there told me they had someone dump $1000 in pennies last week. They used to be ok with me dumping a box of dimes a week. Now they don't care if I never opened the plastic wrapped coins that I'm dumping. They said they would have to ship it off to be counted and I get credited later and charged with a fee like Coinstar. That just infuriated me. Some dumba$$ king penny searcher screw it up for everyone else including themselves. Who wants to pay commission to dump pennies or dimes? If I was a king penny searcher, I would spread it around and not dump at one site. This caused the place to change their policy. People naturally get overburdened with dumps that they don't want to accept them anymore from other people. C'mon the most I've ever dumped in pennies was $25 and they were rolled. Half dollars I understand since there's no real other ways to get rid of them other than spending them and they're not as annoying as pennies. Spend your dumps people!!!
Hey, I'm always accurate with my dumps via weighing rolls before dumping or spending. Maybe, I'm just really angry right now writing this and I need to calm down but common sense is needed. I spend my penny dumps everywhere I go. Obviously if I tried to use all pennies to pay for a full tank of gas, people wouldn't accept it or won't do it in the future. I spend pennies couple bucks here and there on my way to dump or pickup. I go to a couple different gas stations to spend pennies on my way to pick up or dump. I use them at Costco when I buy and everyplace I buy. Common sense, don't get people at these banks annoyed and they will make things harder for you. That's my 2 cents worth.
I know that you guys are out there and you read this and who ever the penny searcher in my area is, spread it around. Don't dump huge hoards at one place and so the whole bank changes their policy on dumps. Dumps just end up back in your order boxes anyhow.
On a side note. This is the same thing as those who sell on Ebay, I can't believe how many people are dumb on Ebay and flood the market. If you flood the market with the same item, it will give the appearance of high inventories and lower prices. If you do lower number of auctions of the same thing, your items will sell for more than if there was a ton of them out there. Simple economics, supply and demand. The appearance of excess supply lowers prices. Guess some sellers out there never took Economics 101.
I just like to hear people's thoughts on this.
