hey guys,

i am new to this coin roll hunting and have been starting up in the orange county area in california. I dont know much about coin roll hunting except for the scarce payout it gives. But thats where all the fun is right? I wanted to know thoughts on this brand of box. I got it from my bank. they were dunbar boxes and had 3 that were skunks. is this company tapped out of silver or do they filter their own coins?

any thoughts?

Welcome!
There's really no set rule as to what produces, and what doesn't.
My best box of halves held 27 keepers, and that was 3 years ago.
In between, my average finds have been about 1 keeper per 5 boxes.
It's a great hobby, so good luck in your search.

Is Dunbar the yellow and white String and Sons rolls in the flat box with 10 rows of 5 rolls of halves? It is a yellow cardboard box.

Keep at it. Learning to take the "skunks" with the winners is part of the hobby.
Good luck and welcome to the forum,

does this mean that they precheck the coins for silver? then i just wasted 3 hours of my life lol if that was the case.

This is what an actual Dunbar box looks like... (not just a String box delivered by Dunbar...)

Unlucky

If you are worried about wasting your time after just 3 boxes, then maybe this isn't the hobby for you. Again, this is a HOBBY, not a business.
