Does anyone have a link or brand name for nick a date? I have a few buffalo nickels that I would like to try it on but can't seem to find it online.

Thanks,

Steven

I use distilled vinegar frozen down to separate the acid. Soak for a few days - works well. Saw it on YouTube. Nickadate seems to leave a stain imo.

Thanks for the help. Going to try both and see which I like more.

Nic-a-date for whatever reason will not work on a dug nickel.

On the same topic, has anyone tried restoring a date on a datess shield or v nickel?

The video I watched said freeze the vinegar 30 minutes, depending on how much you use you will need to adjust your time. I used 4 cups and froze it about an hour or so.

You can also buy it at most coin shops.
