Does anyone have a link or brand name for nick a date? I have a few buffalo nickels that I would like to try it on but can't seem to find it online.

I buy mine off eBay. I've been using the same bottle for a little over a year and I primarily hunt nickels.

I use distilled vinegar frozen down to separate the acid. Soak for a few days - works well. Saw it on YouTube. Nickadate seems to leave a stain imo.

Nic-a-date for whatever reason will not work on a dug nickel.

I did on a V nickel I got from my aunt. It was... to put it nicely, difficult.

But then again it had some kind of black gunk all over it.

The video I watched said freeze the vinegar 30 minutes, depending on how much you use you will need to adjust your time. I used 4 cups and froze it about an hour or so.
