dowsing needed on photo-please

I have 2 woods that I deer hunt in and are so close to each other would like both of then dowsed for any artifacts..Thanks

Thanks....The first photo that you did...I had to think where my deer stand was and I had to looked closer at the photo again and again that big green rectangle that entrance I call it the hour glass spot..it's shaped like an hour glass when you walk into it and get to my tree stand must in that area of that green spot.....will be checking all areas out tomorrow morning.. Some green areas are mostly old stuff or even junk, other times non-metallic targets, especially Native American. Maybe better give you the general definitions from my file.

"Red circle is to mark areas, of loose or surface coins/treasure and artifacts of value, down to 1-2 feet deep.
Green in general is a color indicator, I use for various other targets mostly archaeological (old ruins or foundations but especially those non-metallic objects such as Indian flints, glass, pottery, carved stone with treasure signs)."

We are frozen here, winter must have set in.

Well, spent 3 hours in the woods..temp 29--NO SNOW..hay field hard and crunchy.... Not many stones or PILES of stones in that part of the woods, but I did find some interesting stone lay out markings behind my tree stand was a medium stone with a pointy type of stone sicking up behind it..Looking towards the north east from the deer stand, looking at the swampy grass area, I see the BIG Old Tree and around that area I see a line of stones in a upper half circle the stones were starts with 2 small medium stones, 2 medium large stones, then 3 small medium stones all in a line starting a circle... I could seat nicely on the 2 med. large stones...then between the 2 woods is the swamp grass and corn field....Spent the rest of the 2 hours searching the corn field until the temp dropped..will be going back out in the morning again before the snow flies....everything will have to be put on hold until spring....The woods ground is NOT frozen so may check out those spots. I'll take a pic and post.

Here is some info for Indian rock piles (link below). A complete circle or stone wheel, of any size is a different type Native American system, probably not covered on this site.

"These piles have individual or collective directionality: forming alignments, marking the horizon, supporting a pointer, or having a directional axes. Sometimes they are at a vantage point, with a clear view of the sky or out over water.

Type: Seat

Characteristics: An enclosing semi-circular outline, usually three to four feet in diameter. The opening faces a particular direction with a view that often includes other rock piles. Made from fewer than twenty rocks."

will take photo...no BIG hill, maybe very little slope or NO slope. will have to take a look again maybe small creek or water that was their at one time. will recheck in the morning.

posting set of photo's these photo's are of the half circle formation I moved most of the leaves to get a better view...1st photo will be the first couple of small rocks then the 2nd photo is the Middle with the 2 bigger rocks and in front of them 2 bigger rocks is the RED solid Quartz and in front of that is a flat rock the 3rd photo is the tail end and that is facing the swampy grass.

Big solid red quartz, would that happen to be like rose quartz or a darker color?

This rock looks interesting, cropped and enlarged it some.

I find a lot of smaller carved rocks in my area, like the one to the left (arrow points).

Looks more like a snapping turtle and head is cracked..it comes off....will go out again in the morning...the second picture is the top view looking down at the quartz rock
That last photo that you dowsed..The rocks that I posted sits on the bottom right hand corner of the Big Rectangle the swampy grass sits next to the rocks (looking East). Then right above the rocks something could be buried there.. will also have to recheck that quartz..
Will have to wait until Spring..Snowing..

Thanks! The kind of caches Indians made, usually flint tools or other stone objects. Later when they started selling land, gold coins were often used for making a cache. There should be plenty of small carved flint or pendant stones to find on or near the surface. Pick up anything that looks like flint, examine it carefully.

Red Thanks for guiding me..This is the First Documentation in my area for Meeme, Wisconsin..everything will be put into a booklet..adding more photo's of the Turtle..the Left Front leg comes off.(Tree fell on it) or it just weathered off. The Turtle is facing South and when I look South there are 2 BIG rocks...posting all the photo's...photo's of the Quartz Rock

Yes, the archaeologists probably (if they ever had a dig) would find a lot of smaller stuff in the ground. Look around trees, the roots have a way of bringing things up to the surface. No doubt, somewhere in the area could be Indian burial grounds.

The photos were there a moment ago. Yes, that is a nice turtle. Maybe you can click edit, then go advanced, scroll down to manage attachments, add the photos again manually. I've had problems in the past with inserted photos disappearing sometimes, so now use the manage attachment tab only in advanced.

Okiedowser once sent me a photo of a nesting turtle rock from an Oklahoma site, looked a whole lot like the one in your pic.
