Most Pull Tabs in One Hole...

We've all seen and love coin spills, but a pulltab spill?? C'mon that's just wrong! We hit a vacant lot again that has been good to us in the past. I did some detecting and then tried some sifting. We're leaning towards the theory that the house that would have been on this lot burned. Nothing Spectacular today but I did set a record for most pulltabs in one hole. I guess someone sat in one spot night after night, drinking and dropping the tabs in a nice little pile.

I dug out the shaving mug and a flamboyant creamer lid. Sifted out some marbles and buttons. Then used the Sidewinder to find a few pennies(oldest was 1916) and the vintage lapel pin. (thought it was a hair clip when I dug it). Then came that ridiculous hole with ALL those pulltabs!

That's a lot of PTs! I hunt a site that was a golf course and I think it was a club requirement that every time you hit a ball you popped a top!

I like that lid, shame you don't have the rest of it, also the old wheat, pin and others. Very cool finds, it is very interesting finding old things. Brings up allot of memory's for me. I remember making long chains with those pull tabs as a kid(not all those tabs are from beer cans) ha, lol.
