Celtic Bronze Unit circa 20BC, its not very clear but it's on the 1 Cent coin. A rare find. (Me)

80% sure its a VA-1709-1 - Tasciovanus

Not so much the back, which I now have under control after 2/3 years of sports massage, but the intercostal & pectoralis major that gives me jip.

That doesn't answer the question of pain relief other than I have a high pain threshold.
