Hi all. Hope your Friday was a good one. Cjon455 and I finally got together today for our first hunt. Let me just say the company was wonderful, but the humidity was awful! We both were soaked by the time we finally called it quits, but......it was certainly worth it! I had a first and my best silver day.
First we went to a very early 1820's farmhouse that I have gotten permission to hunt a few times now since last year. I scored my very first IH today in the side yard. It's pretty crusty and is going to take some tooth picking to clean up better. Just did enough to get the date-1883.

After we both felt we had covered the yard pretty well, Cjon asked if I wanted to go with him on his strong suit - door knocking. We drove to the little village just down the road and he secured permission at the first place he tried. I see now how he does so well, lol. We both got several wheats, silver and various relics. I was very pleased with my 5 wheats and 3 silvers. I got a screaming signal with the little lead mallet. Were these used in leather working maybe? Thanks for looking!

I'm not superstitious about Friday 13th, but I am about Good Friday.
Got ran over by a tractor trailer truck, in my Toyota Tercel. Was glad I could at least open my passengers door, and push her out of the car.
I sure thought I was gonna be a goner!

Oh wow! I can certainly see why you aren't fond of Good Friday! Thank the good Lord you're ok. My ex gf hated Good Friday also. Her oldest daughter was molested by a sick twisted stranger in a Florida church ( of all places ) many years ago on Good Friday. Thank you for you post and may you enjoy good health!

I must say Friday 13th has been good to me. I married my daughter's mom many years ago on a Friday 13th. The marriage didn't last ( she says we can blame the date, lol ), but the union gave me my daughter!

Oh, I wouldn't say it was good, lol. We started out with soaking humidity and we both were drenched in no time. By the end of the second location, we were hunting during a thunderstorm with rain. Thanks for your post.

Yeah, you saw how toasted it was. Was hard to be certain it was an IH when I first found it. Toothpick only for this one. I love that deep green patina they get so it definitely will stay. Just hope I can get some more detail. Thanks!

I would have been happy and content with the Indian Head penny. But NO, you have to go and pull two gorgeous mercs and ice the cake with a silver quarter!!! I think you two should become a hunting team. You research the properties and he can get permission and the two of you hunt it together. Great finds today!
