Silver Lapelle Pin. Any idea how old it is?

I found this silver lapel pin in the front yard of a house built in the mid 1800's. Any ideas on how old it may be? It has .900 stamped on the back. Thanks

love silver and gold in any form I don't think they began stamping silver percent number on jewelry in the 1800s

I think .900 silver would be coin silver
A buddy I have hunted with recovered a pocket watch case that was marked "Coin Silver " 1887

Wow, it certainly does look like they were made by the same company. Perhaps even for the same piece of whatever it was. Can you post a photo of the back? Thanks
