I'm dripping wet, but happy. All were found this morning except for the [brass] round ball. Yes, this bugger is brass; never heard of such a thing. It's 14.2 mm diameter and 12.9 grams in weight...it's brass! I posted it on the What Is It forum, but I believe people are either stumped or enjoying the holiday weekend (hopefully the latter).

Was also happy with the Canadian 1853 token; other than rainbow coloring from the clay it rested in, there's not a lick of wear on it! Just about all of the copper coins that I have found here in upper Lake Champlain come out with the "just cleaned with vinegar" look. I think the low oxygen environment from being buried in the clay prevents a normal patina from developing.

Happy 4th July!

Very nice hunt and cool token, congratulations! :occasion14:

That canadian is not common and looks great. Congrats!

The 1852 token, wow! Never seen one so pristine.... Congrats!

Being from Up north myself, I would love to see a solo picture front and back of the Token! All of the tokens we seem to pull are TOAST. Hold up about as well as a Zincoln in the ocean.... Congrats!

You're on a role. Great "Canadian" token. Cool looking KG

Great finds. That Canadian Bank token is in outstanding shape. You must have some great soil conditions.

Here ya go. Without giving the exact location, it was found in Lake Champlain north of Plattsburgh, NY in about 6 feet water and about 0.5 in clay. Looks like it was made in the Royal Mint because of its medallic alignment, as opposed to the Heaton's Mint which has coin alignment.

A Very Very Very Nice Token..

Wow, that token is a beauty. Congrats, and thanks for sharing!

Your other coin is not King George III, It's also a good find... a Blacksmith token. A common one, but one nevertheless.

Listed as BL-37 in Charlton Canadian Colonial tokens.

Well I'll be; thanks Iron Patch! I just learned something new concerning coins/tokens. Putting from my junk copper coin pile into plastic!
