I made a couple diggers several years ago with stainless scraps at work. After trying the big one out it was just too big and heavy. The small one is kinda useless except for driving a tent stake or gardening. The last pic is where I have blacked out what I want to remove. what do you think?

If you cut it down like you have it marked, you'd have almost a dead-on clone of a Predator "Little Eagle"... With the benefit of being stainless, and a bit longer handle.

The Little Eagle is a mean son of a gun when you don't need a full sized shovel... Im betting yours would perform equally well.

Thanks for the reply Tejaas. Since I'll have the cut off wheel to do the job, would you cut teeth in one side for cutting roots? Or just leave it as is.

Me personally id leave it as is... I find a sharp shovel to be better at roots than a serrated edge.

So let it be done, no cutting teeth will be added. Thanks Tejaas
