04/21 Beach Gold, Ice, Silver

Hit the beach for a few hours this evening ... Finds were pretty dismal ... Seas were high ... Sucked it up just long enough to get chaffed, as well as cough up this 11.5g 10k over 925 ring with 42 authentic diamonds -- 12 of which appear champagne.

Nice! The champagne diamonds might just be dirt behind the diamonds. I have seen that and black dirt behind them, and it can be hard to get out. I have used automatic dishwashing liquid, just a squirt into a cup of real hot water, stir it up because it is like a gel, leave the ring in it for a while, and take a soft bristle toothbrush and try to dislodge some of the dirt, and let it soak again. Make sure the toothbrush is a fine, soft bristle, and work in behind the stones too. Under the backside. A vibrating ultrasonic cleaner works good too.
