No halves available today and barely there before closing so I just picked up another box of both pennies and nickels.
Pennies started well with 6 wheats in the first 8 rolls, but ended poorly with only 8 total
1 - 1942
1 - 1944-D
1 - 1945-D
1 - 1950-D
1 - 1951-D
1- 1956-D
2 - 1957-D
18 Canadian pennies as well including:
1 - 1943
2 - 1964
1 - 1996 (listed only for tracking list purposes)
The box of nickels was my worst of the year for the total number of pre-1960 nickels (19) and didn't produce any war nickels, buffalo nickels, or V nickels, but I did find a key date 1939-D.
And on a whim I asked if they had any two dollar bills. And from them I managed to pluck my first United States Note (Red Seal) from 1953.
