Before the DFXonly hunt last week I got out with Danimal and Don. I didn't find any silver although I found an old Token.

The token dates prior to 1918. The “Cleveland Leader” was a newpaper that was bought out by the Plain Dealer in 1917. My son found one a year or two ago. His was copper.

Also just been doing quick hunts close to home. One hunt produced this cool half cent token.

I love it when tokens have a date on it like this one.

Also from the same site I found an IH and a V Nickel. This site now has produced 4 V nickels (found my first here).

Saturday I went to pick up the new car we bought. I called Danimal and we both didn't really feel like driving so we decided to skip the hunt yesterday. And for those who heard about my breakdown on the highway coming back from the DFXonly hunt - the '93 Camry is done. Transmission busted. I'm just glad it didn't happen a couple moths ago going out to Modern Miner's place.

Great finds Bob. 1918 bank token is very nice. Congrats!

Bob,
Long time no hear.
"the '93 Camry is done. Transmission busted. I'm just glad it didn't happen a couple moths ago going out to Modern Miner's place." Sorry to hear about the Toyota. I'm surprised you made it this long. I drained the trans fluid after you found that 1/2 reale down here. :o ;D  Just kidding. Toyota's usually run forever. I have two myself as you know.
Now back to the finds.........
Great hunt Buddy. Great tokens, and some nice coins too.
Any idea what that perforated item is? I have one of those too.

You know, now that I think about it, maybe Nate drained the fluid ???? Our kids want NEW cars, not old cars. ;D
Take care,
Doug

Great stuff Bob. I never find tokens with a date. Looks like you found a ton of wheaties too. Nice job on the V nickels...I'm too lazy to go for those hits ::) Sorry to hear about your car...but at least you didn't have an accident :icon_sunny:

Very nice finds Bob  Cool tokens

Sorry about the Car...

You had some Cool Digs, Nice Tokens. Congrats on your Scores and HH

Bob, great finds! I found one of those bank tokens a year or two ago: I think they deposited 25 cents if done by Jan 1, 1919. Very cool! Oops, it was 1918, and the token was octagonal. It was for a Pittsburgh bank.

Super token, Bob! Congrats on those finds!

Sorry bout the car. :-\

Nana :)

Thanks all.

No Idea on the perforated item but JerDFX found one last weekend at the boy scout camp...

Doug, for now the kids get to share the '96 Ford Windstar - Minivan! :D :evil6: Nate doesn't mind but Rachel is having a hard time. Maybe I can pacify her by getting her her own cell phone....

Nice finds. Love that token. I haven't found a V nickel or any really old coin other than one Indian Head.

Looks like you are doing well. Keep it up..

Nice half cent token, Mirage. You, Danimal, and the Nate-ster need to get back to that stagecoach stop. There should be some coppas and a few more half dimes waiting.

lol...as much as that thing is a pain to drive in the winter...I'll just be satisfied with a decent vehicle that won't continually give me any problems...I'm stuck with the winstar for now and that's dandy with me... 8)

Great bunch of digs Bob..I'm glad I read the other replies, I was going to say the EXACT same thing Nick said..I had that same cycle with the trailer..traded a neighbor kid a Hot Wheels car for it way back when.

I wish those aluminum tokens held up better, but yours looks in better shape than most from that era.

WTG

Tokens

That octagonal token looks very similar to a token I found not long ago. Mine appears to be tin. Unfortunately tin begins to disintegrate at freezing temperatures, and mine is illegible.

Nice Digs!

Great finds! The flow blue plate would have been killer if it was whole. Congrats!
