Spent 7 hours detecting solo on our latest Roman Site.

Got 23 Roman Bronzes but can't seem to get a silver :icon_scratch:

Only other thing of interested was a Roman Conical Shaped Leather Mount.

I thought I had an interesting object (handle thing), until I cleaned it out & saw the thread :tongue3:

However, did get a few Album worthy coins :icon_thumright:

That's the way we do it, British Museum standard;
Size of Dia. in mm's
Weight
Die Axis
Denomination
Letters visible on Obv
Letters visible on Rev
Condition in terms of wear (sliding scale)
Full ID if possible.

Plus the GPS reading.

We have these detailed records for over 2000 Roman Bronzes & quite a few silver.

The record keeping is really a huge part of your hunting, congrat's on the whole process. :notworthy:

Thanks everyone :hello:

That is pretty awesome, putting that kind of work into it. :icon_thumright: I've considered taking my GPS and doing some of that type of infomation recording. A lot of us are lucky to get out of the house let alone put that much effort in!

You got a few nice Romans with some detail, nice hunt! HH, Mike
