When it comes to native Gold and the various type pieces it
turns up in .... worth is a relative term . As others said , there
is a technical value and then there is a subjective value .
You go to a pro type buyer and your looking at your worst
deal . You package it right and go to your local trade day kind
of events where it is face to face , dollar down , and you
could find yourself git'n ten times the technical value .
Or not ... Like I said .... it's subjective . I have done the trade
day thing before and did better than I thought I would just
putting pieces in a fairly cheap display case .
It's important to match the case to the piece . Don't put
a piece in a display that is to big for the piece . Don't put
a piece in a display to small trying to make it look better .
About a 50/50 area ratio is best . You also want to have more
than one piece on display . In example my pic below shows
a good ratio . The case is quarter size and the gold is 10.8 grains
or 0.71 grams . It also depends on what part of the country you live
in as well . I can get more for a packaged ten grain piece in Alabama
and Georgia than you will get in California or Alaska .
Merry Christmas .
