1 REALE!!!......A first for me

Me, Darby and Jon decided to spend the last hour or so tonight detecting a field we've all detected quite a few times before....and I'm glad we did. We all spread out an wandered around the field digging a few signals here and there. Then a faint 79/80 on the at pro. Flip the dirt and at first i thought it was a worn flat button but after a soft brush off i saw the pillars....my first spanish silver. Made my night Thanks for looking and good luck.

Actually,l believe you have a 1/2 real from Lima,Peru; the diameter should be about 22mm.
If it were a 1R, there would be a "1" in front of the "R"; yet I see nothing--which indicates a 1/2 real.

Dang right! Hopefully it is a sign of things to come. We are off this morning to look for some civil war relics....maybe that elusive confederate belt plate will show up today
