With $30 in paper with me, I had to get out of the office...

Found a branch that had $40 in CWR halves, so I took 3 of them... Taped and marked...

Searched them in my car

SKUNKED...

Most interesting thing(s) found:
2000D - there was no reeding on it, may have been filed. Felt to be the same diameter as normal - these were NIFC weren't they?...
12x1976D's... My M-I-L 'saves' them so I will sell them to her.
6x1972D's - all with the initials... Some day!


Well - at least I got some fresh air...

Only the 2002+ and 1987's are NIFC as far as I know

You'll find a lot of halves without reeding...they are usually casino coins that spent a long time being fed and re-fed through slot machine and got nice and smooth all the way around.
