DAY 1
I went back to do some more cleaning up of the park beach I was working on. Still hoping for silver and gold like I have found other years. The number of little sinkers has made cleaning up the beach take much longer than I expected, but the sound just like the small gold earrings and earring backs so if I skip them I won’t find the goodies.
I spent 5.5 hours swingin the ATPro and found 19 coins with a face value of $1.40, jewelry, part of a snap, 2 grippers from aluminum screw off bottle caps, a pellet gun pellet, an acorn nut, part of a zipper, a shoe grommet, tabs, 38 sinkers, 2 tent pegs, bottle caps and foil.
All cheapie jewelry unfortunately. The piece on the left is an earring back still attached to the post with the front missing. I guess that’s how it got lost.
DAY 2
I went back to the far fields now that soccer is over for the year. I have found some nice oldies in the past, but this was tab day.
I spent 5.5 hours swingin the CZ21 and found 39 coins with a face value of $3.44, a fountain pen cap, part of a laser pointer, a shoe grommet, lots of aluminum bottle caps, cans slaw, whole aluminum cans, some foil and 55 tabs. Another day of nothing special, but at least I got out and had some fun.
DAY 3
I took another trip to the scout camp where I found the gold ring last week. I’m not expecting to find more gold or silver, most scouts leave their jewelry at home, but there should be a decent number of coins and with luck some interesting scout stuff.
I spent 6.5 hours swingin the CZ21 and found 75 coins with a face value of $7.15, 82 camp tent pegs, a tacoed dime, a padlock key, a small light with a magnet on the end, a neckerchief slide, a fishing lure, a wing nut from a mess kit, part of a zipper, sinkers, 7 tabs and melted aluminum from the campfires. Some interesting finds and the usual fun, but no winners.
DAY 4
I took another trip to the park camping beach to finish it off. I spent 6 hours swingin the ATPro and found 42 coins with a face value of $1.57, jewelry, tabs, a stainless acorn nut, a pop rivet, a shoe grommet, an aluminum knockout, part of a game tab, 3 aluminum bottle cap grippers, 2 zipper pieces, 3 fishing swivels, a fishing lure, 35 more sinkers, foil and bottle caps.
DAY 5
I started a different beach that has given up gold and silver in the past. Not a lot to show for it, but a long way from skunked.
I spent 5.5 hours swingin the ATPro and found 8 coins with a face value of $.86, very little jewelry, a zipper pull, part if a watch band, a brass staple, a stainless screw, a fishing rod end, part of a lure, tabs and pieces of tabs, only 20 sinkers LOL, bottle caps and lots of tiny foil bits.
Again nothing great, but I got out had fun and lots of fresh air and sunshine a lovely view from the shore.
NON DETECTOR FINDS
I found a few things in the coinstar at the market, 2 dimes, a Canadian nickel and 2 SUPER STUDENT tokens
I found a little red backed salamander at camp. Unusual to see them this late in the year, but it has been warmer than normal.
Just gas money, recyclable stuff and fun in the great outdoors this week. It’s a good thing I like doing this cause because I’m certainly not getting rich. My schedule is booked for the next 2 weeks so no posts for a while. Thanks for looking, stay safe, good luck and may your coil lead you to good things.
