I like that snail bead, it's very "classic" for Mandan/Hidatsas. I have one just like it but it's snapped where the hole was drilled. When are you opening up your museum?

I want to see the relic room :laughing7:. I bet you are packed. Great finds

Ditto to the guys who wrote before me (you really could open a museum !)----what type/era--or other details about the 3rd and 5th points with the extra notch----what do yall suppose was the purpose of such a design ? I so enjoy your finds---keep looking and sharing !!!!

All those bones and game pieces and detailed things make me think these people had a good life with peace and plenty. Thank you for posting all their wonderful relics and allowing us to wonder about them.

now larson this getting a little on the ridiculous side!that site you have is incredible.tn mts,37,pick,and myself will be up soon with a frontend loader.cant take it anymore.great finds

thanks for all the great compliments
fla-gal I dont know why the extra notch but I have 2 points with 4 notches and abot a dozen with only one notch one on one side
I dont know what the reason is
these people lived in big earth lodges and were not nomadic
between growing squash, corn, and beans and fishing and hunting buffalo, elk, bear, and deer they had food stashed away that could last about 2 years most of the time
they could trade food for many things such as copper and different shells and stones and who knows what else
