Off-Center Corner Notch

Not sure what this is. Is it an exhausted point turned into a knife? Is it a preform/knife being worked into a point? All edges are worked and the base seems rather small for the size. I'm not sure of the material. It was found in water in SWPA.

It was a knife to begin with. Probably (out of my field here) a Snyders Point (Mound Builder stuff).

Knives don't have to by symmetrical, and usually aren't.

Material's Flintridge, unless I miss my guess.

My understanding is that while Snyders points and knives do occur in western Pennsylvania, they are not common. You sure scored an exceptional example.
