I was feeling a little run down today but wanted to get out so I took my wading boots and did a little detecting. I found a narrow copper band about 9" long,1 good fishing lure,1 lb of sinkers, one of those iron brick things,5 ships spikes, some outboard shards, lots of trash, but the two things that made me happy,a cooking pot handle and a very old pair of dividers, these were used navigation of ships on charts to set compass bearings, headings, distance, etc. these will get the royal treatment hooked up to the electrolysis gadget and hopefully a name or date will be found. the cooking pot handle is one of many, probably a trade item for furs. I am going to bed happy tonight.
happy hunting to all.
