had fun today did ok , 2 nickels 1943-D and 1942 couple of keys and some type of tag. don't know what it says any thoughts on what it might be. am thinking dog tag

Congrats on pulling those old nickels. Yes it's most probably a vaccination tag for a dog. It's a very common shape. I have dug a few here in Ohio.

ummmm....pretty sure you hit a silver(40%)war nickle there.look at the reverse and see if there is a mint mark above the dome of montecello.they not easy to find...ask old dude.
