That makes for a great outing! Can you give us a little more of the story like type of locale?
Check those mercs for 16D, 21 and 21D and, of course, 42 over 1 error coins as well as other semi keys dates.

This was a park woods find. I was thinking that maybe someone must of had to go. I found them under a large branch suspended over the ground. No d on the 16. Here are some close up of the merk. The 37 looks double but I was told it's machine doubling.

The SLQ is a 1927, and I don't see any dates after 1937, with 2 very new looking 1936 dimes, so looks like a late 1938 or 1939 drop or early 1940's, what do you think? Great recovery for sure.....Bill
