10 hour water hunt.

Put in 10 hours with Bigmike in washing machine conditions...I was whipped when the day was done...plenty of targets and jewelry but the best we could come up with was a 3.5 gram silver band...Ive been paying my dues lately so that next gold is going to be sweet...good luck everyone.

Nice going, finds are getting harder to find each day here.

That's a long day especially if you were in the surf. I can handle about 5 maybe 6 hours tops, but have to take breaks every few hours. Hope to be in the river at 6 am in the morning and heading home around 11 am at the latest. Huge crowd this last weekend, but I didn't get to go and this 4th of July, it will be standing room only. Not to mention all the beer caps, pull tabs, etc. Maybe there will be some gold in my scoop next week if not tomorrow. Haven't found the first fresh drop this year.

Yeah, we were in the water the whole 10 hours except for a 30 minute lunch break. We only get to the beach one day a week and we get our moneys worth...usually hunt 7 to 9 hours...we always say we will leave a little early but none of us wants to quit.
