Found 10 wheats yesterday all dated between 1920 and 1958.
Hopefully I get silver next outing b/c usually I get ~1silver per 10 wheats

And today I finally got something in Coinstar. I started school ~2 weeks ago and I go to school with a scooter.

There is a supermarket on the way so I check the Coinstar on the way to school and back everyday.

I found 2 lone euro coins a week ago but today finally was a big strike, $2.01 in clad and a cool Arcade Tocken and 20cent Euro.

Congratulations on your nice recoveries!!!!
It’s always great to go home with more change than you left with.
Best of luck at school….
Thanks Bill.
Just a question Sir, back in your day were classes so long? 1hr 30min classes feels crazy, I’m worried it’s going to start wrecking my back, all the sitting. Maybe it’s just me🤔

Nice score!
So this happened to me a few years ago…
My work schedule brought me to the same store, same time, every day. Got me some goodies about every other day. After a couple weeks the employees noticed my routine of checking the reject tray, then just like that, the finds dried up. Empty. Not even a penny. This went on for 3 months. Try to keep your scrounging on the down low.

It all depends what stage of schooling your at dictates the length of the class.
Though 1.5 hrs seems like a drag.
In my early schooling time we sat in the same desk all day long (except for recess/lunch)
We'd have Phys Ed and that would get us up and out as well.

Jr high was 1 hr classes and change of room.

Never made it to Sr high, as I joined the ranks of the School of Hard Knocks.

Thanks for the heads up. Now that I think about, an employee was eying me suspiciously as I was pulling the coins out :angry3:. I should be more careful

Good score! Both with the coin star and the wheats.
When I was in highschool, which wasn’t that long ago, graduated in 2021, we had I think it was about 45min to about an hour long classes. An hour and half would be hard for me. I disliked the experience I had enough though that after highschool I didn’t continue my education in formal school. And hey, it all turned out just fine. I’m not homeless or flipping burgers in a McDonald’s like many said I would if I didn’t go to college. Instead I have my own successful business and wouldn’t wish it any other way.
Just remember schooling isn’t everything and it’s not for everyone. It’s not the only option either. I have two friends that whenever they reached the legal age of 16 to quit high school they did and went on to go full time with their business they were running, and still are successful as well.

When my daughter went on to get her PHD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics her professor was impressed with her note keeping and actually paid her for her notes because he wanted to show future students the way to keep notes in his class.
True Story….

Congrats on the finds!

As far as schooling goes; it was a real drag for me. I was always bored to death. A new law in California in 1975 allowed me to test-out of high school at 16 years old. Went right to work. Six years later I joined the Navy, but they required me to go to night school and finish out my HS credits. Oye!
In the Navy I spent the first two years in electronics tech schools, not bored as it was faced paced with only smart people in the classes (unlike the mouth-breathers in high school).
College is mostly b.s. nowadays except for a very few degrees because of all the indoctrination that goes on, and employers are leery of the inept graduates it produces.

My two cents. :laughing7:

Oh yeah, and with no college I retired at the age of 52 with over $1M in my retirement account plus two homes with no mortgages and no debt.
Thank you for your service!!!!
Thank you also for sharing your outstanding accomplishments at the age of 52

Well, I got lucky. It started near my house but the winds pushed it away from here.
15,000 acres+ and I think 38 homes destroyed as well as several businesses, including a large storage facility.
