100 Feet From An Old Foundation Armed Only With A Camera...

My friend owns a modern contemporary home on a large parcel of land. On this land is an old cellar hole. I did not bring my detector on this trip, but I had a nice opportunity to try the macro setting on my camera to get some nice close-ups of some interesting subjects.

Nice pics, how do you get get them to pose for you? Every time I try, they seem to like to attack my camera ::)

. Even the butterfly's like my cam and won't sit still. I guess I'll have to do some long distance zooooooooming........NGE

Of course, that old cellar hole area would have been SCREAMING for my attention the entire time.... When are you going back with the detector?

I finally got a decent point and shoot camera recently. It is a Kodak Easyshare z950. I was previously using any of the cheap cameras with macro settings, and went through three in three years. I decided to sacrafice form for quality & functions. It isn't the best looking, but it has many manual settings that come close to an SLR without the price tag. They go for around $150.

I had detected the cellar hole briefly with an Ace 250 a few years back and found a few Indian Head cents. I also ran my old White's DFX over his nicely manicured lawn and got a strong silver dime reading. I would like to get back there in the Fall and dig that signal for sure. I am reasonably certain that it is not a Roosevelt dime based on the age of his house (6 years) and the former land owner (Early 1800's to early 1900's). It is a three hour drive so I do not get there often!
