I have recently been going around to some banks on my bike and driving to them and seeing if they have any boxes of nickels and for about 5 banks they all told me no and of course, gave me that weird look that says something along the lines of, "You want $100 in nickels? Why?!"
So for my last bank of the day I went to US Bank and they didn't have any but instead referred me to Bank of America, and when I got there (since it was right across the street) the teller just pulled out a box from her station and gave it to me. Here's what I found:

1940-S
1940
1940
1941
1941-D
2-1945-D
1945-S
1946
1947-S
1948
1952
2-1954-D
2-1955-D
1957-D
1959-D

I'm looking to fill up my pretty empty book 1, not sure how long it will take though. Thanks for the info though.

It's remarkable how many old Jeffersons are still in circulation-more older dates than any other type

Thats a nice score.
The wife got a 1945 war nickle today and two sweet wheats.
I got about 25 lbs. of fresh Virginia chestnuts!!

Good finds.

silver nickels have mintmarks over monticello- those are the only silver ones. Additionally, 38 s&d 39 s&d, and 50D are especially collectible
