Hey everyone,
Had a fun time out and about today with forum member NoThisIsPatrick. It was a real battle against the mud and tree roots out there. It’s been raining almost nonstop here for weeks. Roads are flooding, schools are shutting down, and I’m still out detecting!! [emoji23]
Lucas had a killer day and started crushing it right from the get go. I started slower and my first interesting find came a couple hours in. It’s a token to “Pioneer Canneries” in Snug Harbor, Alaska (middle of nowhere). It’s for $1.25 Per Box of clams. Talk about random! Super cool local find though.
I kept rumbling around and Lucas told me about a place where he’d been having success. I mentioned I might go give it a shot and he gave me the green light. Glad I went cause one of my first few targets is the beat Barber Dime. It’s 1914-D and has been pretty scuffed up but I don’t get many Barbers so I was pumped!
I returned to where I got the token after that and found the old safety razor. I had one more little spot I wanted to get at before heading home and got the 1905 V Nickel and decorative cuff link. On the day I found 5 wheats and the oldest is 1920.

Thanks so much for looking and happy hunting (or researching if you’re snowed in)!
