We had such gorgeous weather that NOTHING could contain my MD'ing enthusiasm...I couldn't wait to get out.

Hunted a river, park, and a beach...didn't find much...but dang do I feel lighter and happier! Whew.

That really looks like unusual weather for this time of year in Northern Indiana or Ohio........... (Indian summer already?)

Dang I wish it were THIS week....just got this info:

"The annual, fall excavation at the Crater of Diamonds State Park is scheduled to begin on Monday, 10/11/10. The park has hired a heavy equipment contractor to scoop up tons of diamond bearing material out of the east drainage area and spread it across the search territory. This will help enhance the search field and remove overburden from diamond-bearing gravel in the east drain."

Doing well, maybe you should think about Nov next year for a post excavation hunt. I think organizing a hunt and coordinating everything would be too much like work for me..........

Just not my temperament.

I'd LOVE to organize a hunt...I even ran the idea by Charlie and he loves it too....so if anyone is interested in doing a diamond dig at the Crater of Diamonds give some loose dates to work with
