10K Childs gold ring w/ the Garrett GTI 1500 tonight - 1500 GTI Settings?

My daughter and I hit a local park tonight and found the ring + misc change, boy scout scarf holder, silver charm etc. Not bad for an hour.

I'm really curious as to what 'settings' successful owners of gti1500s use while in the field? I feel like I spend too much time 'tinkering'. I still feel like I miss too many items and my depth is so limited.



Quick pic of that ring. It's my first ring by the way! Nothing special, but I feel like it broke the ice maybe!

Congrats on a fine looking gold band ring. Experimenting with different programs is a good thing, as it really helps to get you acquainted with your machine. My rule of thumb is to hunt with the least amount of discrimination, with the highest sensitivity possible in any environment.
