11.9 Grams of 14k Gold

Found this detecting in the woods yesterday. It's about 2 1/2" long with some kind of outdoor scene on one side. I couldn't find any other markings on it so I had it tested. Turned out to be 14k gold. Any comments on what it is or how old it is are appreciated.

Nice find! As to what it is..... It reminds me of an antique pencil holder, but it seems too small for that....

It appears to be a Victorian perfume holder.

Nice find! As to what it is..... It reminds me of an antique pencil holder, but it seems too small for that....

I saw a pic of one that look similar. Except the pencil holder had a top that completely separated and gripped the pencil. This top hinges.
