1100-year-old-mayan-ruins-found-in-north-georgia

Neat story that's interesting hope to hear more.

this could help explain the mayan 'mask" found here in florida *-- the west coast of florida indains were quite differant culture wize from east coasters --maybe they were "stay behinds" from travelling mayans

Its always interesting to hear of new sites that interrelate the spread of the meso-societies.

It would be a sad day if the archies fabricate a story around a few pieces of pottery shards...this is an often tactic

Very Interesting!

What nonsense.

Besides talking about unpublished research, the article uses a picture of an Aztec calendar for some reason.

When evidence began to turn up of Mayan connections to the Georgia site, South African archeologist Johannes Loubser brought teams to the site who took soil samples and analyzed pottery shards which dated the site and indicated that it had been inhabited for many decades approximately 1000 years ago.

according to the Mayans the world is suppose to end exactly one year from yesterday. :tard:

364 days left to dig. lol!
