These are obviously different than yours, but you can see similarities in the design, and yours would have had another identical half.

Well....I looked and looked....I saw no examples like it in my narrow searches. Something about the loop and crudeness of its appearance make me think it's old, and special. It reminds me of the 1715 fleet material, and I think it's at least 1700s. But the lack of an example in my searches might mean I'm way off base, and completely wrong ?? Some will know I hope....I defer to better sleuths and experts🤔🤔🤔
