1280x parts and service

I heard fisher went out of buisness or was bought out by another company. does anyone know where parts like a battery box seal or shaft are available ?

also if anyone knows if it is possible to get a 1280x serviced ? my volume knob only works on high. I think the reostat is going bad. it has been a great machine for over 20 years for me.

Fisher was sold to First Texas, the same people that make Bounty Hunter. Go to Fisher's website for info on sending your detector in for service.
