12hrs of Detecting = Maple Leaf Brooch & 1898 LC

I've been on holidays all this week and have been returning to the British Badge site in the hopes that the soil had been turn for this years crop. Unfortunately, with the heavy snow amounts coupled with a late spring means the farmers have been late in planting their crops this year. I have a good feeling that more will come to light from this site when the soil is plowed.

The finds for 12 hours of hunting, 2.5 Isaac Campbell Loops, an 1898 Canada LC & an enameled Maple Leaf brooch.

Great to see the site is still producing Dave. Well done on the LC and the maple leaf as well as the other loops. What sparks my interest is the rein guide looking loop beside the horse shoe, the pointed attachment is different.
The farmers are starting to work some of the fields now in the area so things are drying up nicely. Looking forward to this Thursday and digging a keeper or two!

I did get pretty excited when I first saw the maple Leaf thinking it might be some type of hat badge!

It does have a beautiful inlay of glass, then it was gold-plated, must've been gorgeous when it was new!
