I suspect the site is where the present day Hamman cemetery is which is about 3 miles north of Arkon Indiana. That what was discovered a crypt.

They may have Had a Lot of People Trespassing, or Their Geedy so they Said it was Fake.
Hard to say either way !

I personally Doubt any article that uses the word "Filler" as an accusation.

it's also odd a Paper back then 1800's had Someone use the Word 'Filler' imo. I Always thought 'nay sayers' invented that word in the 21st century

It is about 20 miles ESE of where the original newspaper stated 3 miles north of Akron.
Could have moved? It was 40 yrs later. Who know?
