1550 gold esqudo ?

i just bought a 1550 gold 2 esqudo at a auction late at night when every one went home . they remembered they had another gold coin so they put it out for bid. after a few minutes i was aworded the bid. i don<t know much about gold coins but i bought it anyway. since then i took the coin to a jewler and had it tested for gold content he could only test up to 18kt he said it was a least 18kt also i had it weighed it weighs 2.2grams . how did i do ?

Post a pic in the Spanish cobs section. Would love to see it.
 

If it is genuine and not a reproduction you probably did very well depending on what you paid for it. Even if it is a copy at least it is real gold. Can you post a picture of it?

I dont think you mentioned what you paid.
 

At 2.2 grams of 18K it is about $52.00 melt value, if it is 24K it would be about $70.00. If it is an authentic coin you probably did ok. You can check on ebay and see what they are selling for, there are several different ones listed.
